Seamless Overlays Pty Ltd warrants that the industrial coating products supplied for the referenced project will perform under normal conditions in approved application areas, as outlined by Seamless Overlays.

This warranty applies for a period of ten (10) years from the date of installation and covers:

  • Defective materials
  • Delamination of the X-Bond System from the substrate

This Limited Product Warranty is valid only where:

  • Installation is completed strictly in accordance with the latest Supplier Training Manual and Application Guide
  • All Seamless Overlays supplier products are used during preparation, installation and sealing
  • The substrate was prepared in accordance with the Seamless Overlays Maintenance Guidelines
  • The surface is maintained in accordance with the Seamless Overlays Maintenance Guidelines
  • Installation is carried out by a certified applicator of Seamless Overlays Pty Ltd products

This warranty is provided in place of all other warranties, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

Seamless Overlays’ sole liability and the purchaser’s exclusive remedy under this warranty is limited to replacement of the defective product at Seamless Overlays’ discretion. If replacement is not feasible, Seamless Overlays reserves the right to provide reasonable compensation in lieu of replacement.


Warranty Limitations

  1. Certification Requirement

    This Limited Warranty applies only where the contractor has successfully completed Seamless Overlays certification training for SEMCO and SIDEC products. A Certificate of Completion will be issued upon successful completion of training and authorises the warranted use of these coatings.

  2. Incorrect Application or Inappropriate Substrate

    This warranty is void if products are applied incorrectly or to an unsuitable surface.

For concrete substrates:

  • Product must not be applied to green or uncured concrete
  • Freshly poured concrete must cure for a minimum of 28 days
  • Existing concrete must be prepared using Seamless Overlays products in accordance with manufacturer specifications

Substrate suitability varies depending on the specific Seamless Overlays product being applied.

  1. Chemical Exposure

    This warranty is void where the surface has been exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, including but not limited to:

  • Acid
  • Gasoline
  • Acetone
  • Brake fluid
  • Lighter fluid
  • Motor oil
  • Propane
  • Other dangerous, caustic or flammable materials

In such cases, shot blasting is recommended prior to application.

  1. Maintenance

    This warranty is void where surfaces are not maintained in accordance with Seamless Overlays Maintenance Guidelines.

  2. Cleaning Methods

    This warranty is void where the following cleaning methods are used:

  • Green, brown or black floor pads
  • Nylon-Grit or Strata-Grit rotary brushes
  • High alkaline cleaners or strippers
  • Steam mops

Seamless Overlays does not warrant the use of high-pressure washers due to varying pressures and substrate conditions. Damage caused by misuse or abuse is not covered.

  1. Excluded Applications

    This warranty excludes installations in:

  • Swimming pools
  • Reflective ponds
  • Around natural fireplaces
  • Cooktop splashbacks
  • Working kitchen benchtops


Claims Procedure

To make a claim under this warranty, contact Seamless Overlays in writing.

You must provide:

  • Proof of purchase
  • Date of purchase
  • Photographs showing the defect
  • Evidence of material defect

You must also include the following project details:

  • Date
  • Project name
  • Order number
  • Products used
  • Existing substrate
  • Area applied
  • Installation process


Caution

1. Hazard Warning

SEMCO and SIDEC coatings may be harmful or fatal if swallowed, inhaled excessively, or absorbed through the skin.

  • Use only in well-ventilated areas
  • Avoid breathing vapours
  • Avoid prolonged or repeated skin contact
  • Seek medical attention immediately if irritation occurs

2. Personal Protective Equipment

Use appropriate PPE in accordance with Safety Data Sheets, including protective clothing, masks and safety glasses.

3. Keep Out of Reach

Keep out of reach of children and domestic animals.

4. Certification Requirement

Apply only after completing certification training. Always read all instructions before applying coating to any surface.

5. Surface Preparation

Do not apply to surfaces exposed to coatings, powders, dust, dirt or other foreign substances without proper preparation in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
