Safety on site — please read before you begin
X-Bond Hybrid products contain cementitious and chemical compounds that require appropriate personal protective equipment during handling and application. Please read this section carefully and download the relevant Safety Data Sheets from our Resources page before starting your project.
Required personal protective equipment
When handling and applying X-Bond Hybrid Kits and Prep Kits, the following PPE must be worn at all times:
- Safety glasses with side shields or chemical goggles — product contact with eyes can cause serious eye damage and requires immediate flushing with running water for at least 15 minutes
- Chemical-resistant gloves — PVC or nitrile gloves are recommended for the cementitious components
- Protective overalls or long-sleeved clothing — contaminated clothing should be removed immediately and laundered separately before reuse
- Safety footwear — enclosed shoes or safety boots
- P1 or P2 dust respirator — required when mixing dry components or working in enclosed spaces where dust may be generated. Where significant dust concentration is likely, a P2 half-face respirator is recommended.
Ventilation
Always work in a well-ventilated area. Do not use products in confined spaces without adequate airflow. Where ventilation is limited, wear an appropriate respirator.
Skin contact
Wet cementitious materials are alkaline and can cause skin irritation, dryness and cracking with prolonged contact. If skin contact occurs, remove contaminated clothing immediately and wash thoroughly with soap and water. Seek medical attention if irritation persists.
Eye contact
If product contacts eyes, immediately hold eyelids apart and flush continuously with running water for at least 15 minutes. Seek medical attention without delay.
Inhalation
If dust or fumes are inhaled, move to fresh air immediately. If irritation persists, seek medical attention.
Storage
Store products in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area in original sealed containers. Keep away from incompatible materials. Do not allow liquid products to freeze. Keep out of reach of children.
Emergency contact
In the event of a chemical emergency, contact the Chemwatch Emergency Response line (24/7): +61 1800 951 288

Yes — X-Bond Hybrid is suitable for floors, walls and joinery across both internal and external applications. Surface preparation requirements vary depending on the substrate and location, so refer to the installation guides included with your kit.
Yes — for best results, proper surface preparation is essential before applying X-Bond Hybrid. Skipping prep is the most common cause of adhesion issues, so we strongly recommend purchasing both together. To find out which kit you require, refer to our Installation Guide.
Once you place your order, our team packs your materials, obtains a freight quote based on your location, and sends you a payment link before dispatch. Full payment is required before goods are sent. Delivery timeframes vary by location — please allow additional time for regional or remote areas.
Trade Access materials are sold without warranty on installation outcomes. Results depend on the skill, preparation and technique of the applicator.
